Signal Messenger Secure? (Week #9)

Signal Messanger app is a private and highly secured messenger app, available for both desktops and IOS and Android. It has a nice UI design. It is simple to use. The privacy is legitimate, seeing how criminals and neo-nazi have used the app to organize meetings and plans. The British government recommended that their troops switch to the app to prevent Russian Hacking. Overall, it is a very nice app, especially in the current world, where all messages can be accessed by governments around the world. It provides a good level of security that so far has prevented the personal information and messages of its users from leaking.

Facebook is now META

Istock Image Credit: GreyParrot Facebook's rebranding to META comes off as a gross att empt to escape the past damage that Facebook has caused. Facebook does this in the wake of multiple problems.  The Facebook Files , an investigation from Wall Street Journal, detailing all of the damage that Facebook had dealt with the help of a whistleblower. Facebook's system had been helping fuel the rise in anti-vaccination campaigns. The creation of White Nationalist groups. The company knew about human and drug trafficking on the site with little response. The company exempts certain individuals, enabling them to incite hatred and violence against others without consequences. The last problem facing META now is the privacy laws of Europe.
